Hilary Duff

The real name of Hilary Duff is Hilary Erhard Duff. She was born in Houston, September 28, 1987. She is the second daughter of Robert Erhard Duff, owner of a chain of convenience stores, and Susan Colleen, a housewife. She is an actress and a pop singer. She started her career as an actress and after becoming world famous interpreting the protagonist of the series Lizzie Mcguire, in Disney Channel, the singer went on to have a film career and began to sing some time later.

She was already an artist when she began singing. In 2002, Duff recorded “I can’t wait”, a cover of Brooke McClyne in Lizzie Mcguire´s soundtrack, and “The tiki tiki tiki room” for the first collection of Disney Mania. Her first album was Santa Claus Lane in 2002. The second album was Metamorphosis, it has reached the first position in the parades of the USA and Canada. The album became one of the best-selling albums of the year in the USA, selling more than 3,7 million copies. The third album was self-titled Hilary Duff, in which she co-wrote some of the songs. The fourth album from "Hilary was Most Wanted" (2005), composed by the composer Faiza.

Only this year she has debuted in three films, she has made her world tour and a new album. The actress does something very particular in the design of clothes, she has her own brand of clothes, “I always liked a touch of drama” she said.

Pop music is the most popular kind of music listened by young people, it made Hilary Duff to be a good exemple of pop singer, and she is very talented. This is why she is my favorite singer. =)
