Elvis the King

Elvis Aaron Presley was an American singer, musician and actor. He sang Rock 'n' Roll, and he was known as "the King of Rock 'n' Roll". His songs are very good and the lyrics are very happy and romantic. It's a nice style of music, and it's very good to listen when you are happy.

He was born on January 8, 1935, on Tupelo,Mississipi, USA. His carrer began in 1954 as one of the first performers of rockabilly, a fusion between country and rhythm & blues. Presley sang other genres, including gospel, blues, ballads and pop. He was one of the best-selling and most influential artists in the history of popular music. He died on August 16, 1977, with health problems, drug dependency and other factors.

The songs that he sang were and are very famous nowadays. His most famous songs are: Always on My Mind, Sylvia, Bridge Over Troubled Water, Kiss me Quick, Suspicious Minds, Surrender, Can´t Help Falling In Love, It's Now Or Never, Jailhouse Rock, Love me Tender, Margherita, and a lot of others. He sang a lot of success by others artists, for example My Way, by Frank Sinatra. Thirty years after his death, he is the second artist with the most numbers of sales of Cds, behind only The Beatles. He is the first solo artist with the most numbers of hits, in all World with 600 million of CDs and 200 million of singles.

Concluding, Elvis was and is a famous person in all World who made a big success in the 50's and 60's, singing Rock 'n' Roll. I like him very much, because he had a beautiful voice, and the songs are great. I like to listen his romantic songs, it's nice to relax and think in our lives.
